Pastor's (P.I.T) Crew

The Pastor's (PIT) Crew

(PIT) stands for Pastor's Intercessory Team. The Pastor's (PIT) Crew is a hedge of people recruited, planted, trained, aimed, and motivated to consistently pray for their pastor.

Why is there a need for this you might be asking? Well, in addition to being on call 24 hours a day, a pastor is often plagued with unrealistic expectations and criticisms. Pastoring a church is often a lonely and thankless task. Focus on the family estimates that 1,500 pastors resign each month due to moral failure, spiritual burnout, becoming overwhelmed with caring for the needs of others, or contention within their local congregations. Satan knows that if he can strike a shepherd, the sheep will scatter, and the impact of the ministry will be diminished. We do not want this for our church or our Pastor, thus the Pastor's (PIT) crew is committed to praying for God's protection around our Pastor.

Listed below are the three requirements of each (PIT) Crew member?

  1. Commit to pray for your Pastor daily - a "Suggested" daily Prayer guide in included below.
  2. Periodically you will receive emails from the Pastor regarding "Specific" prayer requests. These prayer requests will include general church needs, upcoming events, crisis situations, and even personal prayer requests from the pastor.
  3. Agree to a strict Confidentiality policy. Understanding that many times the Pastor's requests are confidential.

If you would like to be considered for service on the Pastor's (PIT) Crew then please send us an email telling us of your interest along with your contact information. Send your request to us.

Here is the suggested daily prayer guide for (PIT) Crew members
