Pastor Steve Molton, the third of four children, was born to Jesse and Jeanette Molton in Fort Worth, Texas. His father and mother knew right away that God must have a call upon his life because the devil began attacking his body with illness when he was only one month old. The most severe illness was when he was 15 years old. The doctor had diagnosed and kept telling his parents that he had the flu, but when they noticed he was losing weight rapidly, they went to another doctor who determined he had a bleeding ulcer. He had lost so much blood the doctor was not even sure why he was still alive, much less walking into his office. The devil tried to kill him, but God had other plans.

Not long after that he felt the call of God on his life and began the process of following after that call. Pastor Molton attended and graduated from Calvary Bible School in Fort Worth in 1983 and the Ministerial Internship Program with the Church of God in 1987.

Pastor Molton is an Ordained Bishop and has served in full time ministry since October, 1988. This is when he received his first assignment to Aransas Pass, Texas. Since then he has pastored in Vernon, McAllen, Houston, and Killeen, Texas. Through those years he has served on the State Youth and Christian Education Board, Evangelism and Home Mission Board and State Council.

In February, 1983 he met his future wife, Tammy Gouge. They married on October 15, 1983 in Fort Worth. Steve and Tammy have 3 children, Ashley Fowler(Married to Aaron Fowler), Amy Mitchell(Married to Joshua Mitchell) and Andrew Molton(Married to Lindsay Molton), as well as, 7 grandchildren, Gavin, Alex, Aiden, Ezra, Anaiah, Davanee and Milo.

Tammy knew at a young age that God was calling her to ministry and she heard in her heart God tell her that she would marry a minister. At that time it did not seem possible, but the rest is history as they say as she works faithfully along with her husband, Steve, in full time ministry since October 1988. Tammy is a credentialed minister with the Church of God and on occasion fills the pulpit. She leads the Women's Connection Ministry at The Bridge and she is an anointed teacher of God's Word.

God has given a vision to Pastor Molton to lead The Bridge. A vision bigger than any of us, but not bigger than God.
